My duties included psychological operations (ops) to lower the morale of our enemy. This included delivery of propaganda messages via radio, leaflets and face-to-face meetings. We dropped leaflets from helicopters. The RAAF didn’t like it. They did not understand it. In one case, dropping leaflets over enemy base areas resulted in all the leaflets being blown out to sea because we flew too high. We did not understand paper weight, wind and flight dynamics.
